Health Data Summit 2025 in Brussels | 19-20 March 2025
Last week, PHASE IV AI had the opportunity to attend the Health Data Summit 2025 in Brussels, organized by The The European Institute for Innovation Through Health Data. The HEALTHDATA4EU Cluster hosted a highly engaging session focused on Data Quality in the Era of Synthetic Data.
Associate Professor Antti Airola from Turun yliopisto – University of Turku delivered a thought-provoking presentation titled “Synthetic Results from Synthetic Data?”, where he highlighted crucial considerations and recommendations when working with Differential Privacy (DP)-synthetic data in healthcare and AI applications.
The session brought together sister projects including IHI-SYNTHIA, SYNTHEMA, PHASE IV AI, PHEMS, FLUTE Project – AI & Prostate Cancer, all of which play a key role in advancing Europe’s vision for responsible health data usage and AI innovation.
The discussions and insights shared were truly inspiring, as we work towards a future where synthetic data plays a pivotal role in advancing healthcare while maintaining robust privacy protections.
Many thanks to the moderators and everyone who joined the discussions!
