Plenary Meeting in Barcelona | 4-6 November 2024
We are glad to share that the 3-day plenary meeting hosted by EURECAT took place on 4th-6th of November in Barcelona.
Healthcare professionals, technology innovators, and researchers have come together to set-up thought-provoking discussions on the intersection of data privacy, healthcare innovation, and the transformative potential of AI. Sessions were filled with dynamic discussions, inspiring presentations, and valuable networking opportunities.

Day 1

Day 2
– Wrap-up of discussion of Day 1 & Introduction to Day 2 from Turun yliopisto – University of Turku
– Workshop on clarifying functional and non-functional requirements moderated by Fujitsu
– WP4 Model as a Service, MaaS, led by Tune Insight, presenting the data harmonization aspects from AINIGMA Technologies, the multi-party computation techniques from Tune Insight, the model training and validation needs from researchers’ and clinician’s perspective by Turun yliopisto – University of Turku, the efficient and secure implementation of cryptographic algorithms in healthcare from Sabanci University and the integration as services in a MaaS toolbox by Turku University of Applied Sciences.
– WP5 Health Data Hub, led by Fujitsu analyzing its objectives and challenges, the proposed conceptual approach to be used, and demonstrating the Decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) technology as enabler of the Phase4AI-EUProject solution.
– WP6 Validation & Use Cases, led by Nottingham Trent University where several real-world use cases were explored, highlighting the transformative potential of AI when applied to healthcare, particularly in lung cancer, prostate cancer, and ischemic stroke.
